Church will host singing event

The Del City Gospel Singing will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Del City First Church of the Nazarene, 4701 SE 26.

Guest singers will be Harmony Quartet and Southern Sonlight. There is no admission charge. A freewill offering will be taken and attendees also are encouraged to bring canned goods that will be donated to local food banks.

Messages to focus on grace

“GRACE — God's Reward at Christ's Expense” will be the theme of elder Keith Gray's message during Spiritual Emphasis Week Monday through April 14 at Edmond Seventh-day Adventist Church, 13812 Scott Street.

Weekday sessions will be at 7 p.m. and the final program on April 14 will be at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend all sessions.

Gray has served the Adventist church in many roles and now serves as special assistant to the president of Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas.

Project's aim is to provide shoes

Canadian Hills Church of the Nazarene has begun a new initiative called “Shoes For Our Schools” to provide shoes for elementary school students in the Yukon School District.

A silent auction fundraiser will be from 1 to 4 p.m. April 14 at the church, 11744 W Reno.

Organizers said the church is accepting money for the project or new shoes to be auctioned. The church also is seeking new items from local businesses and individuals that can be auctioned off.

Music to benefit food pantry

“Music for Manna!,” a musical fundraiser benefiting the Yukon Manna Pantry, is set for 7 p.m. April 14 at the Yukon Event Center, 949 S Cornwell.
