Events

Church plans Christmas events

Metropolitan Baptist Church will celebrate Christmas with three programs.

The children and student music groups will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church, 7201 W Britton Road. The church's choir and orchestra will present a concert at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Olivet Baptist Church, 1201 NW 10. “The Many Moods of Christmas,” featuring Metropolitan Baptist Church's choir and orchestra, will be at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 22 at Metropolitan. Holiday service is offered

The annual Candle Light Service hosted by the Circle 18 Mission Group at Tabernacle Baptist Church had been scheduled for Dec. 8, but was postponed and rescheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday at 1829 NE 36.

Several metro-area musicians will be part of the service. The evening also will feature a performance of Christmas songs by youths with A Rainbow Arts Academy.

The public is invited to the semiformal event. A reception will follow the musical evening.

Gospel singing event has been rescheduled for Monday night

— The Del City Gospel Singing Christmas Concert, originally set for Dec. 7, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at Del City First Church of the Nazarene, 4701 SE 26. Special singers will be The Williamsons.

Labyrinth walk is planned

— A labyrinth walk is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church of Edmond, 305 E Hurd.
