Christmas
Church plans Nativity concert
“Orthodox Hymns for the Nativity of Christ” will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church, 15000 N May Ave.
The a cappella presentation includes seldom-heard Orthodox Church music about the Nativity of Christ. The event is free. A reception will be held afterward. For more information, call 755-7804.
University offers holiday concerts
The 34th annual Christmas Vespers Concerts will be at 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday in the Bishop W. Angie Smith Chapel at Oklahoma City University, NW 23 and Blackwelder. Traditional service is planned
Casady School will present a “Lessons and Carols” service at 5 p.m. Sunday at 9500 N Pennsylvania. The Rev. Charles Blizzard, the school's head chaplain, said “Lessons and Carols” is an Anglican service that was started by Eric Milner-White, dean of King's College in England, in 1918. Blizzard said the service is a Christmas season favorite and incorporates familiar Scripture and music.
Holiday performance is offered
“And on Earth ... Peace,” a Christmas production, will be performed at 2 and 6 p.m. Sunday at Village Baptist Church, 10600 N May Ave. For more information, call 751-1951.
Group to perform concert
WEATHERFORD — Contemporary Christian group Point of Grace will perform in concert at 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday at Weatherford High School Performing Arts Center, 1500 N Washington. The group's “Home for the Holidays Tour” is sponsored by First Baptist Church of Weatherford. Tickets are $10. For more information, go to www.fbcweatherford.com.

Author to sign books
The Rev. Larry A. Angus will sign copies of his new book “The Hidden Messages of Jesus” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Full Circle Bookstore, 1900 Northwest Expressway. Angus, of Denver, created the website www.gnosticchristians.com and the conversations on the website became inspiration for the book. For more information, call 842-2900.
