Ministry speakers to share message
Two speakers with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries will make several presentations in Oklahoma, beginning Monday. Stuart McAllister and Andy Bannister will give a presentation about the importance of Christian apologetics from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Credo House, 109 NW 142. Tuesday, the pair will participate in an open forum called “Perspectives: Maintaining Civility in a Pluralistic Society,” set for 7 to 9 p.m. at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. McAllister and Bannister will present a talk from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday titled “Jesus Among Other Gods” in the Nigh Center's Constitution Hall at the University of Central Oklahoma, 100 N University Drive, Edmond.
Book discussion series continues
The “Let's Talk About It” Oklahoma book discussion series at Oklahoma City University will continue at 7 p.m. Tuesday with “Quiet Revolution” by Leila Ahmed. The discussion will be held in room 151 in Walker Center, at Florida Avenue near NW 26 on the OCU campus. The discussion series theme is “Muslim Journeys: American Stories.” Those who are interested in participating are encouraged to preregister and borrow the reading selections and theme brochure by calling Harbour Winn at 208-5472, emailing him at firstname.lastname@example.org or visiting rooms 211 or 207 at OCU's Dulaney-Browne Library.
Church plans communications event
Fairview Baptist Church will host “Re-branding the Church for the 21st Century,” a communications conference, on Friday and March 1 at 1700 NE 7. The event is designed to provide churches with practical techniques and tools to promote church programs and activities. Conference sessions will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 1. Registration is $20 per person; $15 for adults 65 and older; and church group registration for up to five people is $75. Gospel singing event is planned
DEL CITY — The Del City Gospel Singing will be at 7 p.m. March 1 at Del City First Church of the Nazarene, 4701 SE 26. Guest singers will be the Harmony Quartet from Texas and Chosen Quartet from Moore. Admission is free. The quartet will perform March 2 during the 10:45 a.m. service at the church. Gospel recording artist CeCe Godbolt will perform at 10:30 a.m. March 9 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 5700 N Kelley. Godbolt's appearance is part of the American Heart Association's new program “Check. Change. Control,” which is designed to raise awareness about heart attack and stroke in the black community.
