Art market is planned
NORMAN — A Valentine Art Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at West Wind Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 1309 W Boyd.
Local artists will sell their wares, including jewelry, ceramics, knitted art, paintings and prints, sculpture, fused glass works and books. Music will be offered by Jahruba.
Guests are asked to bring donations of canisters of Kool-Aid drink mix, paper cups, microwave popcorn and individually wrapped snacks for Bethesda Inc., a Norman organization that provides healing and treatment for sexually abused children.
Network offers gospel music event set for Saturday
YUKON — The Gospel Station Network will present the Yukon Gospel Celebration at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Yukon Fine Arts Center, 850 Yukon Ave.

Organization hosts open house
The Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations will host an Open House from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at its new office, 3000 United Founders Blvd., Suite 110. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. For more information, call 415-6851.
Group to host candidates
A nonpartisan coalition of congregations and civic groups will hold a prayer and meditation service and accountability session with candidates for the Oklahoma City School Board and Oklahoma City Council from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 5700 N Kelley.
Voices Organized in Civic Engagement, also known as the VOICE Action Fund, has invited all candidates for the school board to attend as well as city council candidates.
The Rev. George Young of Holy Temple Baptist Church said the group will ask candidates for the school board and city council to work with the organization “to turn things around in our community.”
