Gospel music session is planned

The Oklahoma City Metro Fourth Saturday Gospel Sing event is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene, 4400 Northwest Expressway.

Featured performers include the Forgiven Quartet and Randy Mullino.

A love offering will be taken.

Atheists to host convention

FreeOK, the Oklahoma Free Thought Convention is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Tulsa Convention Center, 100 Civic Center in downtown Tulsa.

David Silverman, president of the American Atheists, is among the guest speakers.

Tickets will be $10 online and $15 at the door.

The event is sponsored by the Atheist Community of Tulsa and Oklahoma Atheists. Organizers said the event is not intended to be just for atheists, but for freethinkers, secular humanists, agnostics, deists and others.

Progressive Baptists to meet

The Southwest Regional Convention of the Progressive National Baptist Convention is set for Sunday through Friday at the Sheraton-Reed Conference Center, 5800 Will Rogers Road.
