Music groups are set to perform

The Oklahoma City Fourth Saturday Gospel Sing will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene, 4400 Northwest Expressway. Church will honor pastor

Greater New Zion Baptist Church will honor the Rev. James H. Tucker with a Pastor's Appreciation Service at 11 a.m. Sunday at 1005 NE 28. Tucker is celebrating his 40th anniversary as the church's senior pastor. The Rev. C.L. Bachus with Mount Zion Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kan., will be guest preacher. Buddhist discussion is planned

“Inner Beauty” is the topic of a Buddhism class set for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the M+Yoga Studio, 7632 N Western. The class will be taught by Kelsang Namdrol, an American Buddhist nun and resident teacher of Kalpa Bhadra Kadampa Buddhist Center in Wichita, Kan. She will teach attendees how to develop a heart of compassion. A question-and-answer time will be part of the event. Cost is $10. For more information, go to www.meditationinoklahoma.org.

Chapman puts out ‘Deep Roots'

Steven Curtis Chapman brings his inspirational sound back home to his rural Kentucky origins on “Deep Roots,” the latest exclusive album release from Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. The new 12-track compilation features collaborations with bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs and some of Nashville's finest players, as well as three generations of Chapman family members.
