Church sets gospel sing
DEL CITY — The Del City Gospel Singing will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Del City First Church of the Nazarene, 4701 SE 26. The Jubil-Heirs and Paul's Journey will be guest singers.
There is no admission charge. A freewill offering will be taken.
The Jubil-Heirs will perform during the church's worship service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at the church.

Buddhists set ceremony
The purification ceremony for the new Buddha Mind Monastery building will be Sunday at 5800 S Anderson Road.
The ceremony will be at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Dharma talk and Diamond Sutra chanting at 10 a.m. A vegetarian lunch will be at 12:30 p.m.

Variety show is offered
THE VILLAGE — A military tribute show called “Village Canteen” will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Village United Methodist Church, 2501 W Britton Road.
Sponsored by the church's chancel choir, the show will benefit the choir intern scholarship fund. It will be based on United Service Organization shows and includes music and other acts from the World War II and the Korean War, Vietnam War and Iraq/Afghanistan conflict eras.
The show will end with a surprise activity that will get people up on their feet. Red, white and blue dessert will be featured.
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.

Labyrinth talks are set
Diane Rudebock, professor in the department of kinesiology and health studies at the University of Central Oklahoma, will present “A Path of Transformation: A Personal and Professional Journey on the Labyrinth,” at 10:10 a.m. Nov. 9 at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, 127 NW 7.
