‘Messiah's Mansion' set to open

“Messiah's Mansion,” an exhibit ministry, will be featured Dec. 1-9 at Oklahoma Academy, 18750 NE 63.

The exhibit will be open from noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The exhibit features a life-size model of the mosaic sanctuary described in the Old Testament.

Church groups and school groups may make special group reservations. Walk-ins also are welcome.

The exhibit is free. However, school leaders said donations will be accepted to go toward the academy's 2013 mission project to the Ukraine.

Music ministry begins tour

The music and fine ministry of Fifth Street Baptist Church will begin its Christmas Celebration Tour on Dec. 1 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Oklahoma City.

The choir will sing both holiday and traditional gospel music selections. There also will be liturgical dancers, mimes and poetry. A sermonette will be presented as well.

The music ministry's tour also includes: Downtown In December on Dec. 8 at the Myriad Gardens; Grace Living Center Wildewood on Dec. 13; Shawnee Mall on Dec. 15; Boys & Girls Club of Oklahoma County on Dec. 20; and Crossroads Mall on Dec. 22. The tour culminates Dec. 31 with a New Year's Eve service at the church, 801 NE 5.

The church's music and fine arts ministry is under the direction of the Rev. JoVaughn Wheat.
