EDMOND — The move for the city's utility customer service has been delayed a second time while renovations at the new location are finalized.
People can continue to pay their utility bills at the administration building, 100 E First St., through 5 p.m. next Friday.
Six members of the human resources department moved Friday to the new location at 7 N Broadway, said Ross VanderHamm, city finance director and city clerk.
City officials are leasing the building known as the Hargrove building because the administration building has to be vacated and demolished to make room for the new public safety center.
The Hargrove building was renovated to make room for about 50 city employees for the next five years.
Movers are expected to be at the administration building Monday to start moving the finance department. Treasury, payroll and purchasing will move throughout the rest of the week.
Several challenges come with the move taking place next week. It is spring break, and some employees have trips planned that can't be changed, VanderHamm said. It also is payroll week, he said.
