— The state medical examiner's office has confirmed the body found near Weatherford Dec. 17 is that of 16-year-old JaRay Mickell Wilson, a spokeswoman said.

An autopsy report has not been completed, state medical examiner's office spokeswoman Amy Elliot said.

The remains were found north of Weatherford as part of a 14-month investigation into the disappearance of Wilson, authorities reported.

Tucker McGee, 19, of Weatherford, was arrested shortly after the remains were found and was charged with first-degree murder by Custer County prosecutors Dec. 20.

A source close to the investigation told The Oklahoman that Wilson was shot twice in the head and that her slaying was possibly drug-related.

Mark Woodward, a spokesman for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, said McGee is the only person who has been arrested and charged in connection with Wilson's death.

Woodward said more charges are possible but declined to say much more than that.

“Our agents are continuing to interview a lot of people with knowledge of the case,” he said. “It's still ongoing and active.” has disabled the comments for this article.
