Renters already assessed taxes for schools
In response to Rick Parker (Your Views, Aug. 25): The owners of apartment complexes, whether individual or corporate, are assessed property taxes. This is one of the expenses incurred in such businesses; as in all businesses, they become part of the cost of the product being sold. In this case, it happens to be square footage of living space. Property tax expenses in full are passed on to apartment renters.
