Report: Alabama to interview Lane Kiffin for offensive coordinator Published: January 9, 2014

The man who bolted the SEC for the West Coast could be headed back soon. is reporting that former Tennessee and Southern Cal head coach Lane Kiffin will interview for the open offensive coordinator position as early as Thursday.

The Crimson Tide, coming off a 45-31 loss to Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, is suddenly without an offensive playcaller after Doug Nussmeier jumped to Michigan earlier this week to call plays. Michigan fired previous offensive coordinator Al Borges.

The Kiffin-to-Alabama reports continue a consistent flow of high-profile work for Kiffin, who hasn't had a hard time finding jobs after stints as head coach of the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee and USC. Kiffin was let go by the Trojans in the fall.
