Noah averaged 12.6 points, 11.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals per game for the Bulls. Noah led a Bulls team that went 48-34 in the regular season and qualified as a No. 4 seed in the NBA playoffs despite not having star point guard Derrick Rose most of the season and with the Bulls trading Luol Deng in mid-season.
Noah will beat out the likes of Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka and Indiana Pacers wing Paul George for the award.
