STILLWATER — Christian Littlehead is no longer a member of the Oklahoma State football program, Cowboy sideline reporter Robert Allen reported Monday.
An OSU official could not confirm Monday afternoon that Littlehead had departed the team. As of Monday afternoon, Littlehead was still listed on OSU's official online roster and in the school directory.
Littlehead, a rising junior defensive tackle, was a part-time starter in 2011 but had slipped down the depth chart after the emergence of Calvin Barnett, the Big 12's Defensive Newcomer of the Year, and James Castleman at the position. He played in eight games in 2012 and recorded four tackles.
Littlehead, a Tahlequah Sequoyah product, had also had multiple run-ins with the law during his time in Stillwater.
In December of 2011, he was charged with one count of misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession, which was dropped in September after the case was dismissed by the state. In May, he was arrested in Tahlequah on a public intoxication complaint. Then in August, he was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery, which has since been dropped after the case was dismissed by the state.
