NORMAN — Freshman cornerback L.J. Moore has decided to leave the Oklahoma football program, according to a SoonerScoop.com report.
An OU spokesman said “we don’t anticipate him being with us this spring.”
Moore (6-foot-1, 166 pounds) arrived at OU a four-star prospect from Central East High in Fresno, Calif., and was expected to compete for immediate and significant playing time.
Instead, he only appeared in two games for the Sugar Bowl champion Sooners, recording just one tackle.
Moore came to OU with high-school teammate and safety Hatari Byrd, and Central East receiver Michiah Quick signed with the Sooners earlier this month.
