The Toronto Raptors have been fined $25,000 for comments that rap star and team ambassador Drake made at a recent concert about Kevin Durant that the NBA has deemed a violation of its anti-tampering rules, a source told ESPN.com on Monday.
Durant attended a recent show of Drake's in Toronto where the rapper did some light recruiting of the league MVP.
"I just wanna show one of my brothers something. My brother Kevin Durant was kind enough to come to the show tonight and watch us. I just wanted to see what would happen if he came to play in Toronto," Drake said at OVO Fest.
Drake, who hails from Canada and is an avid Raptors fan, was added as a global embassador for the Raptors in 2013, at the time saying "today's probably one of the best days of my life. I can't wait to add everything I can."
