Former Oklahoma City Thunder guard Kevin Ollie has spurned the lure of the NBA for a contract extension with the University of Connecticut that will pay him more than $3 million annually.
Yahoo Sports reports that the deal could be worth more than $15 million over a five-year term. The new contract will double Ollie's salary at UConn.
Ollie finished his 13-year career in Oklahoma City, where he was held in high regard by Kevin Durant and Thunder general manager Sam Presti. Ollie is fresh off a winning the NCAA national championship with UConn in just his second season as coach.
