Until the Oklahoma City Thunder is done, do not expect the New York Knicks to hire a head coach.

Reports from ESPN's Marc Stein and Ramona Shelburne are that the Knicks are in no rush to hire a head coach, and will wait until the Thunder is out of the playoffs to take their shot at Derek Fisher.

ESPN.com sources called the coaching search by Knicks president Phil Jackson "deliberate." Fisher, who has said he will retire from playing at season's end, has shot down all questions about his future.

During the last round against the Clippers, Fisher said, "I would tell people to allow me to finish my career as a player before they give me another job after that. It's humbling, just to think about people thinking of me in that manner, especially while I'm still playing. [But] I promise you this is the last thing on my mind at this point."
