Oklahoma State back-up quarterback Johnny Deaton has decided to transfer to Northeastern State University according to the Tahlequah Daily Press.
Deaton's father, Johnny Deaton Sr., told the Daily Press his son would be at NSU in the fall.
Deaton spent most of his childhood living in Tahlequah, but graduated from Sand Springs. Deaton was at Oklahoma State for one season.
Deaton is currently at enrolled and will be there until he finishes summer classes on July 29. Because he is transferring to a Divison II school he will be immediately eligible.
This is the second football recruit for NSU in as many days as Oklahoma pitcher Cayle Shambaugh announced Wednesday he will play baseball and football for the RiverHawks this season.
