ESPN.com's Marc Stein is reporting that Oklahoma City Thunder coach Scott Brooks met with free agent forward Pau Gasol on Monday.
Gasol is believed to be looking at the New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls and the Thunder as potential destinations in free agency. Last week, reports emerged that the Thunder was the leading candidate to land the 7-footer, a bold move that would take some shuffling of the Thunder roster.
ESPN reported last week that Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were also involved in pitching Oklahoma City to Gasol. Serge Ibaka is also a teammate of Gasol's on the Spanish National Team.

Competition for Pau, though, remains stacked. You've got Thunder/Spurs/Bulls still chasing PLUS Knicks or Lakers depending on who gets Melo— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) July 8, 2014
