Report: Texas RB Johnathan Gray expected to be cleared for workouts next week following torn Achilles recovery Published: July 18, 2014

Texas running back Johnathan Gray is reportedly ready to run.

According to Dallas Morning News sources, Gray is expected to be fully cleared for workouts next week. Gray suffered a torn Achilles tendon against West Virginia Nov. 9 of last season.

Gray had one of his best games of the 2013 against OU in the Red River Showdown, rushing for 123 yards on a season-high 29 carries. He missed the game against OSU on Nov. 16.

Gray rushed for 780 yards and four touchdowns last season.
