Reporters to chat about Oklahoma open record cases Wednesday

Learn how to obtain open records and other types of documents that are available to the public in a live chat Wednesday.

NewsOK reporters Bryan Dean and Paul Monies will chat at 1 p.m. with Joey Senat, an Oklahoma State University journalism professor and open government expert, about open record cases that have spurred conversations across Oklahoma.

Some of the cases discussed will include the Cleveland County District Attorney’s recent refusal to produce open records related to the firing of one of his assistants, a case in Bartlesville that forced police to turn over a surveillance video after a newspaper sued and an Enid lawsuit that was filed after a judge sealed records regarding the felony perjury charge against a local attorney.
