Plenty of odds and ends on the Oklahoma craft beer scene to pass along as we slide into the weekend.

-For starters, Republic Gastropub has scheduled a German beer dinner for Aug. 26. The dinner will feature six German beers, four of which will be paired with a four-course, German-inspired menu. The cost is $50 and you can call 286-4577 to make a reservation.

-Federal regulators approved Prairie Artisan Ales’ latest bottle label. I may be mistaken, but I think this is the first time Branson will be available in bottles…

-Mustang Brewing has an open house/tour/tasting set for tonight from 4 to 7 p.m. They are promising these beers on tap: Rocket Fuel; Hoplahoma; Dragon’s Breath; Washita Wheat-ier; Sweet Potato Porter; and Sixty-Six American Lager.

-TapWerks has scheduled a Sam Adams stein-hoisting contest for Aug. 28.

-McNellie’s OKC has a D&V International Beer Dinner set for 7 p.m. Aug. 19. D&V imports beers including Duchesse and St Bernardus. The four-course dinner is $50; you can make reservations by emailing There may be only limited seats available for this one.

-Marshall Brewing’s Eric Marshall is lending his brewing expertise to a new brewpub venture in downtown Tulsa.

-In case you missed it yesterday, Roughtail will start offering low-point pints and growler fills at the brewery.

-And don’t forget to check out the latest issue of LOOKatOKC for my piece on Oklahoma craft beer.

-A date has been set for KRXO Beerfest 10. Mark Sept. 20 on your calendar. More info can be had here.

-And lastly, Wild Brew is just around the corner on Aug. 23. You can get info here about that.
