CLAREMORE -- Wild Heart Ranch is growing, the Claremore Progress reports.

After reaching a goal of $80,000 in donations, the non-profit animal rehabilitation center is ready to begin a 40-acre enlargement.

Plans call for the addition to be across the street from the center, which currently has only an acre.

Director Annette Tucker told the newspaper that the limited space disallowed taking in homeless dogs and cats, but the addition should change that.

Now, the facility will be looking at dogs, cats and seized horses.

Still to go? Additional donations and grant money will be sought for a horse rescue barn.
