Rescuer calls charges in Beckham County cruelty case ‘sad’

SAYRE — Animal cruelty charges have been filed against the operators of a farm where authorities earlier this year seized 52 horses that were found to be in poor shape.

Walter Mayfield, 37, Robin Crandall, 37, and Dianne Robinson, 64, all of Sayre, each were charged Wednesday with five counts of animal cruelty.
