Carl's Jr. franchisee expands

A new Carl's Jr. is set to open Nov. 15 at 13424 N MacArthur Blvd., just off the John Kilpatrick Turnpike. The new location will replace one a half-mile south on MacArthur, which will soon close. The new restaurant will feature a drive-thru, free Wi-Fi service and flat-screen TVs. Hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 6 a.m. to midnight Thursday through Saturday. The opening is part of a larger rebuild effort by Edmond-based franchisee Star Chasers Oklahoma, Inc., which owns and operates 38 Carl's Jr. restaurants in Oklahoma. A new Carl's Jr. is expected to open this spring at Kelly Avenue and Danforth Road in Edmond.

Global Market opens for season

Pambe Ghana's Global Market opens for the holiday season Thursday. The fair trade shop, which features handmade items from around the world, will be open noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday until Dec. 22. The market's new location this year is 6516 N Olie, a block east of Western on NW 65. Proceeds from the market sales fund Pambe Ghana education initiatives in northern Ghana.

Naturopath will host seminars

Heavenly Hands Day Spa will host free health and nutrition seminars on Saturday featuring naturopathic doctor Wallace Nelson. Topics include heart health at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., diabetes at 2 p.m. and nutrition at 5:30 p.m. Heavenly Hands Day Spa is located at 205 S Castle Rock Lane in Mustang.
