Adult retailer Hustler Hollywood, owned by Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt, will open its first store in the region in Oklahoma City at 500 S Meridian Ave.

The Oklahoma City Hustler Hollywood store will be the adult retailer’s 14th location nationwide, said Philip Del Rio, senior director of retail for Hustler Hollywood.

The Oklahoma City launch marks the beginning of an expansion into the Midwest and Southwest. The company is also eying new stores in Delaware, Indiana, New Mexico and Phoenix.

“We don’t really have any stores in the middle of the country,” Del Rio said. “We looked at our competition in the area and we felt we can do it a lot better than what we have here.”

The 7,000 square-foot Oklahoma City store will open Thursday. The shop will sell lingerie, shoes and other accessories, as well as adult toys.

“We are definitely a lifestyle adult store and that is what makes us different than our competition,” Del Rio said.

The Hustler Hollywood chain is owned by magazine publisher Larry Flynt Publications.

“We’re excited to find a home in Oklahoma City and become part of the community,” Flynt said in a statement. “I think people will be pleasantly surprised when they visit our new store and see what the Hustler Hollywood shopping experience is all about.”

A grand opening celebration featuring an appearance by adult film star Ron Jeremy, product demonstrations and food from Big Truck Tacos will be 7 p.m. June 28.
