PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have fallen by another nickel, but the state average remains 20 cents above national prices.
Monday's price survey by AAA Southern New England found the average cost of a gallon of regular self-serve in the state is $3.59, down from $3.64 last week.
The local price is 14 cents less than6 a month ago. This week's national per-gallon average is $3.39.
Rhode Islanders were paying an average of $3.96 a gallon year ago this week.
The AAA survey found prices in Rhode Island ranged from a low of $3.46 a gallon to a high of $3.69 a gallon for self-serve regular.
