Richard Durrett, Texas Rangers reporter for ESPN, dies

Richard Durrett, an ESPNDallas.com writer since 2009, collapsed and died Tuesday. He was 38.

Durrett covered the Texas Rangers and other sports for ESPN Dallas for the past five years, and spent nearly a decade at The Dallas Morning News before that.

ESPN released a statement and has set up a fund through the Texas Rangers organization to benefit Durrett's family.

Durrett's survivors include his wife, Kelly, and two children.
