Ridiculous and dangerous decisions in the name of sequestration

Have common sense and logic become obsolete in this sequestration age of federal governance? The Obama administration is attempting to inflict pain on the American public in every way possible, all in the name of sequestration. The decisions coming out of Washington are ridiculous and dangerous. They appear to touch every state in the union.

Public tours of the White House were stopped. The Department of Homeland Security released illegal immigrants being held in prison. Eliminating overtime pay has reduced security at our borders. The government is closing 149 air traffic control towers, all across America. This move is the single biggest and dumbest action being blamed on sequestration.

All of this is going on while Vice President Joe Biden and his entourage are running up hotel bills of $585,000 for a one-night stay in Paris and $459,339 in London. Not to be outdone, Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew and Secretary of State John Kerry are traveling all around the world. These Washington "elitists" aren't only alive and well but are flourishing — at the taxpayers' expense. Much of this travel could be eliminated by using the latest communication technology such as Skype to conduct face-to-face business around the country and world.
