With all precincts reporting, Republican Dist. 2 Commissioner Brent Rinehart finished third in a three-man race. Incumbent Oklahoma County Clerk Carolyn Caudill won over former Oklahoma County Commissioner Stan Inman.

Republicans

Maughan 4,230 47.4 percent

Rinehart 1,900 21.2 percent

Inman 11,409 42.3 percent

Caudill 15,531, 57.7 percent

Oklahoma City made the first step in cleaning out the losers in government that has been holding the city back and making the state/city look bad in the national picture. Rinehart did it to himself - which is fortunate for everyone, because we don't need that same old tired old bigoted regime that has had a stranglehold over the city. We need more minorities and women in power and this is a great start. Next up, get rid of Inhofe and that idiot state legislature who is 'also' afraid of gays that she got caught bringing a gun to the capitol - what's her name? Continue the Renaissance of Oklahoma City - get rid of the idiots in the state/county government. OKC city government is awesome, for the most part!

I am glad Rinehart is out of the picture. Johnston and Maughan are both good candidates. I like Maughan better, but I'd be happy with either him or Johnston in the seat.
