Yet another big lineman in the 2015 class has a Division I scholarship offer. Ringling offensive tackle Riley Daniel was offered by North Texas over the weekend.
Daniel, 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds, is the third offensive lineman in the 2015 class to receive a D-I offer, along with Lawton’s Jalin Barnet, 6-4, 315, and Oklahoma commit Josh Wariboko-Alali of Casady, 6-3, 310. Defensive lineman Marquis Overton of Jenks is also committed to Oklahoma.
Daniel was No. 12 on The Oklahoman’s first edition of the Super 30 recruit rankings for the 2015 class, which debuted earlier this month. He is the 11th state player in the class with an offer.
Ringling has only had two Division I football signees in school history — former Oklahoma standout Richard Dillon, and his son, Jackson, who is currently a defensive end at Memphis.
Daniel is the second Oklahoma player with an offer from North Texas, joining Del City defensive back Davion Freeman. North Texas also signed two state players in the 2014 class, Edmond North kicker Trevor Moore and Southmoore receiver Jalen Adams.
