TNT has picked up “Rizzoli & Isles,” “Major Crimes” and “Perception” for new seasons, following its previously announced fourth season renewal of another of its hit summer dramas, “Falling Skies.”
All four of those shows rate among basic cable’s Top 10 series with total viewers for the summer-to-date, with “Rizzoli and Isles” leading at number one, according to a news release.
“Rizzoli and Isles,” which ends its summer run Sept. 10 before returning for the second half of its fourth season in early 2014, will start its 15-episode fifth season next summer.
“Major Crimes,” which ends its summer run Aug. 19 and returns in November for the second half of its second season, will start its 15-episode third season next summer.
“Perception” is scheduled to conclude its summer run Aug. 27 and will return in early 2014 for the rest of its second season. The show’s 15-episode third season will begin next summer.
In additional TNT lineup news, “Dallas” will return for its third season in early 2014, and the drama “Mob City,” from executive producer Frank Darabont (“The Walking Dead”) is scheduled to premiere Dec. 4.
“The Last Ship,” starring Eric Dane (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and executive produced by Michael Bay (“Transformers”); and “Legends” starring Sean Bean (“Game of Thrones”) and executive produced by Howard Gordon (“Homeland”) are also scheduled to debut next summer.
