Road crews have partially re-opened the Indian Nation Turnpike and parts of the Will Rogers Turnpike that were closed most of Tuesday because of drifting snow and blinding conditions, a spokesman said this morning.

Parts of the Turner Turnpike and the Muskogee Turnpike remain closed.

The eastbound lanes of the entire Will Rogers Turnpike, from Tulsa to the Missouri line, now are open, said Jack Damrill, spokesman for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. Westbound lanes remain closed.

The entire Indian Nation Turnpike, from Henryetta to Hugo, is now open, he said.

The westbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike Tulsa to Stroud and the northern end of the Muskogee Turnpike remain closed, Damrill said.

Road crews worked through the night, and are continuing efforts to clear drifting snow from the roadways.

Motorists may get updates on turnpike conditions by calling a toll-free number, (877) 403-7623.
