Roadways becoming slick and hazardous in parts of Oklahoma Tuesday morning

Roadways are becoming slick in places across the state Tuesday. Crews are watching overpasses and bridges, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation reports.

Roadways are becoming slick and hazardous in places across the Oklahoma City area, the state Department of Transportation reports Tuesday morning.

Road crews have been monitoring bridges and overpasses. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and allow plenty of time for the morning commute, ODOT reports.

Crews in western, northwestern and central Oklahoma are reporting precipitation with bridges and overpasses becoming slick. Freezing rain is falling in southwest and central parts of the state with snow coming down in the northern areas. Crews are treating the highways and interstates and will continue to do so as the storm moves through and conditions change, ODOT reports.
