STILLWATER — Inserted as the starter three games into last season, quarterback Zac Robinson faced more obstacles than just reading defenses.

Robinson wasn't replacing an injured starter. Oklahoma State coaches made the switch, hoping Robinson's dual threat skills would take the offense to a new level.
It was a delicate situation for Robinson.
One reason star wide receiver Adarius Bowman declined interview requests after the switch was he was close to Bobby Reid, the quarterback Robinson was replacing.
Since Reid had posted solid stats the previous season, and was well respected by teammates, Robinson was left to figure out how to handle his long awaited opportunity.
It was a rocky start. Robinson threw two interceptions in his debut against Troy, but played well the following week. He ran for 116 yards, threw for 211 yards and accounted for four touchdowns in a shootout win over Texas Tech.
As the season progressed, it was obvious Robinson would be the quarterback, not only of the present, but the future.
"Towards the end of last year I felt more comfortable in a leadership role and became more vocal,” Robinson said. "I felt it became my team. I think that (leadership role) will continue to grow this season.”
Starting the final 11 games, Robinson established the single season school record for total offense, throwing for 2,824 yards and rushing for 847 yards.
"You know what kind of kid Zac is,” Gundy said. "He'll develop as a leader just by his actions. The team looks as Zac as the leader now.”
Leaders can emerge from any position. Quarterbacks have to be leaders. Robinson, though, said vocal leadership can be overrated.
"Most of it is body language and leading by example,” Robinson said. "If guys see you hanging your head they'll probably start hanging their head. I just always try to stay positive.”
Because there are few seniors on the roster, Robinson and other underclassmen will be team leaders.
Gundy used tailback Kendall Hunter as an example how production, not words, resonate through a locker room.
"Even though Spud (Hunter) hasn't played a lot he's had success in big games,” Gundy said. "Those kind of guys are looked at differently. Spud will never say a word. I've never heard him talk. He's a guy who leads by example, just like Zac.”

It would appear danny is mature enough to make a new, really original name to go along with his original comments about OSU. Let's remember folks, he attended an outstanding educational instituition in Cameron. His education shaped the way he views the world. Which is to say, a sad and sorry way.
what i would like to know is why Arron and Danny are always first to comment on every article concerning the Cowboys. nothing better to do in the morning than make stupid comments. Gooners without a life!
It would appear that the higher learning that the osu fans have received at the great osu,has only managed to consume all of the osu people on here with hate and discontent, none of you could even write about the story at hand, too busy talking trash, all I said was your quarterback would prosper from the teachings and guidence that he would get from the OU scout team. Pat! did you say "dig" at osu? Is that a slang word from the late 50's or early 60's? Come on Pat, just trying to help osu get out of the big 12 to a conference where osu could be more of a threat. Look at it like changing jobs, osu could stop being the cook at a fancy steak house, and move on to being the manager of a Taco-Mayo, sure you are out of the great big12, but on a brighter note, you can dominate lets just say the Big Sky conference.

Wow, Arron, your right. I am sure OU never has any players who smoke weed. Get a clue you moron, it wasn't long ago that Terrell Everett was caught smoking and still played in the NCAA tournament. Or, do you forget when OU gets in trouble? Every team has players who smoke, its a fact.
His best hope to be successful is to hope T-Bone will pay off opposing defenders to take something off of him. He had Bowman, the blunt king, running routes last season and hovered around .500. Too much for him to deal with. He believes he will lead with "body language"; he doesn't play with doctors. How about leading with wins that will keep you around longer.
I think he is perfect. He shows the rest of the world just how obsessive ou fans are about OSU, and just how pathetic their little lives are. He is the epitome of an ou fan.
For anybody that missed my posts over the weekend, this idiot professing to be from Ardmore is actually the same clown that was going by Danny from Wilson. He just changed his name to try and be cute and get in an ongoing dig at OSU. He has no life and he has absolutely nothing intelligent or interesting to say, so he is best ignored.
Why do you stupid sooner fans bother wasting your time reading and posting on articles about OSU. My god man get a life. Guess if I lived in Ardmore I would be bored too...
Hmmm, interesting thought but Zac just wouldn't fit into the pants issued to QB's in the OU system - you know, the one's made for their "girly" hips down there. What must really suck is to by you. Why not leave Ardmore and allow the average IQ to double down there?
I still think Robinson went to the wrong school, Robinson would have made an excellent quarterback for the OU scout team, with his experience and leadership skills. I wonder if it's too late for a transfere?
