Rogers State hires Long as head coach
CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) — Former Oklahoma guard Roxanne Long has been hired as the new women's basketball coach at Rogers State.
Long was introduced Monday at a news conference on campus in Claremore.
Long previously was the head coach at Texas Lutheran. While there, she inherited a program that had only won a single game over the previous two seasons and finished with a winning record two seasons later.
She played at Oklahoma in the mid-1990s and then was an assistant coach at Oral Roberts.
