Rose State announces auditions for 'The Wizard of Oz'

— Rose State College, 6420 SE 15, is seeking children ages 6 and older to audition for its November production of “The Wizard of Oz.” Director Rick Nelson needs 26 children to play the Munchkins in this popular musical. Auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Adults are invited to audition for parts in the ensemble. Nelson is looking to cast 12 to 16 men and 12 to 14 women. The roles of the Scarecrow, Tin Man, Wicked Witch and Flying Monkeys are available. Production dates are Nov. 2-4.
