Oklahoma rules for safe crane use could be coming soon

Crane and aerial basket operators might soon need a state license, a state lawmaker said last week.

A committee of construction industry experts is working on a plan for stricter oversight of crane operators, said Randy Sudik , president of Oklahoma City -based Allied Steel Construction Co.

"We’re looking at regulations in other states to see what we need to do here,” Sudik said.
