Run, walk proceeds to go to Red Cross

Proceeds from a run and walk event at Lake Hefner will benefit the Red Cross and its Hurricane Katrina relief fund, organizers said Thursday.

The 5K and 1 mile fun run and walk will start at 2 p.m. Sunday at Stars and Stripes Park. A $10 donation is suggested.

Pre-register at Athlete's Foot, 7431 N May Ave.; Ron's Sports World, 7801 NW 23; or The Runner, 9644 N May. Race day registration opens at 11:30 a.m.
