Westbrook, a first-team All-Rookie selection last season, said he’s always trying to get teammates open looks, even if it means sacrificing a few shots.

"I don’t mind that,” Westbrook said. "I’d rather my teammates get involved before I get myself going. It was a learning process, me learning how to finding my teammates shots.”

Coach Scott Brooks said he doesn’t want Westbrook to think it’s an either/or proposition.

"He’s a scorer also,” Brooks said. "We don’t want to take that away from him. He did a great job mixing both in tonight. There’s a fine line between attacking for yourself and your teammates.”
