In the past 16 years in Class 6A, Jenks or Union has won the state championship. Who do you think could end the streak?

Broken Arrow this year has a very real shot. Edmond Santa Fe could although a lot would have to fall right for them. BA had a great chance last year but fell just short. One of the issues is opponents of Union and Jenks not only have to play the game on the field, they have to get it in their mind that they can compete. One coach I talked to recently said he could see it in his team when they went out there against them that they really didn't believe they could hang with them. And then he saw other teams reacting to his team that way. It's getting closer but not sure the breakthrough happens this year.

How will Wayne do this season? I don't see Wayne being as great. They won't be able to for sure get that 3rd and 3 every time this year without Way.

They're still going to be really, really good. They lose RB Josh Way but have a pretty good replacement No. 1 back in Louden Johnson. They also return Sam Martin at QB. I had them at No. 2 in the preseason rankings and I think the top two teams in Class A are in the same district.

They definitely lose some of the certainty Way brought but they're still going to be tough to deal with. That's an interesting district not only with Wayne and Wynnewood but also Caddo, Elmore City, etc.
