Most intriguing matchup Owasso at Enid

Why bother: Sure, Enid is undefeated, and Owasso is winless. But Owasso has faced a string of tough opponents to start the season. It doesn't get much easier for the Rams tonight, when they travel to play Enid and its explosive offense.

Getting there: Take Interstate 35 North to State Highway 412 West. Once in Enid, turn left on Van Buren Street. Stadium is on left.

Eating there: On the Sidewalk Bar & Grill, 114 W. Randolph Avenue. With a menu that ranges from burgers to most any kind of pasta imaginable, there are plenty of choices here. Save room for dessert, though, as the menu features fried cheese cake, tiramisu and spumoni ice cream.

The pick: Enid 21, Owasso 17. Daniel Barwick has been lights out for the Plainsmen, so much so that quarterback Clint Chelf, a Tulsa oral commit, hasn't had to flash much of his team-best speed. Against the Rams, Chelf might need to make things happen with his feet. However, Enid gets it done offensively, and it'll be just enough to keep the Rams winless.

Other top attractions
•Putnam City North at Norman North

Plot: Norman North is at the top of 6A now after a 3-0 start. Putnam North is looking to become one of the best teams in the class but needs a statement win. After the beating the Timberwolves administered last season, the Panthers are seeking revenge in this one. They'll have to do it in Norman, though.

Starring: Norman North has plenty of star power, from RB Beau Blankenship to QB Tyler Tettleton to stout defenders Nathan Badger and Beau Traber. The Timberwolves are deep, no doubt. Putnam North relies on its big front line and RBs Josh Booker and Greg Lewis.

The pick: Norman North 28, Putnam North 17. Norman North doesn't figure to dominate as completely as it did last year in this game, but the Timberwolves are a deeper, more diverse team. The Panthers blew open last week's game against Choctaw in the second half, but they were too one-dimensional on offense with little threat of moving the ball through the air when the game was close. That won't be enough tonight against Norman North.

•Morrison at Hominy

Plot: Morrison has rolled through the early part of the season in its first fall as an 11-man program. The Wildcats, though, haven't faced a challenge from anyone as good as Hominy.

Starring: Hominy's Derek Owens is one of the best passers in small-school football. He has plenty of targets, led by Caleb Christian. Joey Quinata is a key in helping slow Hominy's attack from the defensive end spot.

The pick: Morrison 20, Hominy 14. Morrison is no stranger to big games, and it usually comes out on top. That won't be any different here as the Wildcats use their tough, grinding running game led by Cale James and Levi Masters to wear down the Bucks.

Pick to click
Cameron Sanders, WR, Millwood

Faces: Little Axe, at Little Axe

So far: Sanders has 16 catches for 439 yards and 4 TDs this season.

Tonight: Little Axe gave up 42 points last week to Bridge Creek, and Millwood's offense figures to put more pressure on the Indians. Sophomore QB Kevonte Richardson can make things happen with his arm or his feet, and he figures to hook up with Sanders plenty of times.
