Ryan Brehm goes 20-under to take Michigan Open

HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Ryan Brehm has overcome a 1-over-par 73 final round to win the Michigan Open Championship by two strokes at Prestwick Village Golf Club.

The 28-year-old ex-Michigan State star from Grand Rapids finished Thursday with a four-round, 20-under total of 268. He now plays on the PGA Tour Canada.

The course is in Oakland County's Highland Township, just north of Milford and about 35 miles northwest of Detroit.

Joey Garber of Petoskey shot a 4-under 68 on the final round to finish two strokes back at 270. Grand Traverse Resort & Spa pro Scott Hebert was third at 275, while Andrew Ruthkoski of Muskegon and amateur Alexander Dombrowski of Gaylord tied for fourth at 277.
