Extra cots and mats were set up to help people make it through the night at the Oklahoma City and Norman shelters, said Heide Brandes, Salvation Army spokeswoman.
Sunday night, about 20 men needed cots and floor space in addition to the 44 beds that were full at the men's shelter in Oklahoma City.
“We've been running at full capacity since November,” Brandes said.
The Norman shelter at 318 E Hayes was also making arrangements for extra cots and mats, Brandes said.
“Anyone who needs a warm place to stay should come to The Salvation Army. That's why we're here,” she said.
