Bradford has said he wants to have a deal in place by the time the Rams' training camp opens on July 28.
ESPN.com reported Friday that a deal is unlikely to be struck Friday, but both the Rams and Bradford's reps are expected to lay the groundwork for what will be the richest contract in NFL history.
The guaranteed money in the deal is expected to be between $45 million and $50 million.
Last year the Detroit Lions gave No. 1 overall pick Matthew Stafford a six-year deal that included $41.7 million in guaranteed money.
Bradford was the draft's No. 1 pick out of OU. But he seems content to let his agent, Tom Condon, handle the negotiations.
"That's why I hired an agent," Bradford told The Oklahoman earlier this month. "I don't want to deal with any of that stuff. That stuff's all on him. "I've done my part to get myself here. Now, it's his job to get me in camp."Mom publishes simple wrinkle secret that has angered doctors...
