EARTH CITY, Mo. -- The St. Louis Rams plan to take plenty of precaution with some of their key players returning from injury during the preseason.
When the Rams open with their first preseason game Friday against the New Orleans Saints, they'll be without former OU quarterback Sam Bradford. Despite Bradford taking all of the first-team reps and showing no signs of trouble on his surgically-repaired knee, the Rams aren't taking any chances.
"He's going to play in the preseason, unlikely that he's going to play this week," Rams coach Jeff Fisher said. "But it's not because he can't, it's because it's our choice."
