Schools, Tulsa posts top ballots

Voters will head to the polls Tuesday to decide on school bond proposals while Tulsans will be selecting a new mayor and several council members.

In the Putnam City School District, voters are being asked to decide on two propositions worth more than $80 million, which would include construction of an elementary school, high school athletic facilities and buses.

Edmond School District voters are being asked to decide on two proposals worth more than $36 million for classrooms, athletic facility improvements, buses and other equipment and supplies.

In Piedmont, voters there will decide on a proposed 1-cent sales tax to be used to hire full-time firefighters.

Tulsa voters will choose who will be that city’s next mayor as well as who will represent districts 3, 4, 6 and 9 on the Tulsa City Council. Also up is the city auditor position.

Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
