Sci Fi gains DVD films

Sci Fi Channel has acquired the U.S. television rights to "Stargate: The Ark of Truth” and "Stargate: Continuum,” both of which previously have only seen a DVD release. Both films will make their U.S. TV debuts in Spring 2009.

"Ark of Truth” picks up after the "Stargate: SG-1” series finale and follows the crew fighting two powerful enemies in their attempts to obtain the ancient weapon that could defeat the sinister Ori force.

"Continuum” is an action-adventure film in which Ba’al (Cliff Simon) travels back in time and tries to prevent the Stargate program from ever starting.
